Able Company, 5th Rangers is dedicated to teaching about the life and times of the American G.I., the Greatest Generation and honoring their sacrifice during World War II for this nation and democracy. This unit formed in November 2003 with members throughout New York state. Throughout the year, we put on historical displays and demonstrations for educational and historical purposes throughout the Northeast region. We also conduct Ranger-style, WWII Infantry training. Additionally, we participate in carefully orchestrated tactical scenarios. Safety and authenticity are bywords of our organization.

New members must uniform, equip, and participate in training exercises so that they look and act as World War II Rangers. As authenticity is extremely important to our organization, historical research is continual. As we train as World War II G.I.s, physical fitness is also very important. Each member needs to conform as closely as possible to World War II military standards. Additionally, haircuts and facial hair are to be to 1940's U.S. Army standards. In essence, since we are representing World War II G.I.s, it is essential that we maintain the highest of standards in uniform, equipment, training, and presentation. If you are willing to accept these standards, you are welcome to be a member of our organization.

Sincerely,
Jack B. Frost
